his past week in the celebrity world has been quite tragic. There have been 4 celebrity deaths in the past week. Some of them are explainable but, some came so sudden.
Ed McMahon
died June 23, 2009 at the age of 86.
Best Known For: the sidekick to legendary Tonight Show host Johnny Carson and also very known for his introduction for Johnny, "Heeeeeeeeere's Johnny."
Farrah Fawcett
died June 25, 2009 at the age of 62.
Best Known For: an actress on the television series Charlie's Angels, also a former swimsuit model and once married to Lee Majors.
Michael Jackson
died June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.
Best Known For: US singer dubbed the King of Pop, had a string of hits with the Jackson 5 in the 1970s before his solo career took off, releasing multi-million selling records such as Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous.
Billy Mays
died June 28, 2009 at the age of 50.
Best Known For: his US infommercials that he brought so many different products to the television screens in our houses, urging us to buy products that would better our lives.
All of these deaths have really hit everyone in this world quite hard. Some of them more than others. Michael Jackson and Billy Mays were probably the more surprise ones.
Michael Jackson had just passed a 4 hour long physical because the pop singer had plans to go on a world tour. So, hearing of his death was a huge surprise. VH1 is paying tribute to this influencial singer by airing his music videos all weekend long. I have enjoyed watching his videos, these videos were so amazing, and the money he spent on them was unbelievable.
As my dad said, "He didn't care about the money so much, he just enjoyed making people smile and enjoying his mini movies." His music videos were nothing like music videos, they were all mini movies that were shot by actual directors of movies.
